For Pet Owners
The Consult Process
Because your pet's brain deserves a calm,
confident plan.
When your pet has a neurologic condition, it’s not just clinical—it’s emotional.
Every change in behavior or movement feels urgent.
That’s where I come in.
Whether it be through supporting your primary care veterinarian or through personally evaluating your pet, you can have access to myself as a board-certified veterinary neurologist—to ask questions, gain clarity, and access individualized care for your neurologic pet.
What you get with the Veterinarian Plan:
This service supports your home veterinarian in providing specialty-level care for your pet.
✔️ Physical examination by your primary care veterinarian
✔️ 12 full months of communication between your veterinarian and a boarded neurologist
✔️ Thorough review of medical records
✔️ Specialist-level neurologic care and guidance
✔️ All provided through your trusted primary care veterinarian
$350 per year (equivalent to $29 per month)
What you get with the Pet Owner Plan:
**Applicable to patients within the state of Texas -- Additional travel fees may apply**
This service gives you a direct line to expert guidance, so you don’t have to wait, guess, or worry alone.
✔️Full in-person neurologic examination by a boarded neurologist
✔️12 full months of direct communication (not a chatbot or generic advice) with a boarded neurologist
✔️ Ask follow-up questions
✔️ Understand test results, diagnoses, and next steps
✔️ Know when a symptom is urgent--or not
✔️ Support managing seizures, spinal issues, or chronic neurologic conditions
$900 per year (equivalent to $75 per month)
This is not a replacement for your primary care veterinarian! It is an extra layer of support for your pet's specific neurologic needs.
Virtual Veterinary Neurology complies with the standards established by the veterinary governing body, the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA), regarding establishment of an in-person Veterinary-Client-Patient Relationship (VCPR).
For the Veterinarian Plan, this VCPR is maintained between your local veterinarian, yourself as the pet owner, and your pet, with myself aiding as the on-call specialist from the sidelines.
For the Pet Owner Plan, the primary VCPR is maintained with your local veterinarian who will continue to provide diagnostic offerings and treatment prescriptions. A secondary VCPR with myself is established from my in-person evaluation and allows for direct communication with you as the pet owner.
For additional information on the consultation process, please direct your primary care veterinarian to the For Veterinarians section. *Additional fees to your local veterinarian may apply, at their professional discretion.
For any urgent medical needs of your pet, seek prompt in-person evaluation by your local primary care, urgent care, or emergency veterinarian.
